The latest iPhone system, iOS 26, is being released this week, bringing a new Liquid Glass interface and other features. But before you update, make sure iOS 18.6 on your iPhone is in top form to make it feel faster, more private and easier to use.

Apple released iOS 26 on Monday, a few months after the company announced it at the June Worldwide Developers Conference. The update brings a new Liquid Glass redesign, call screening and hidden features to your iPhone. The update also brings AI notification summaries for news and entertainment apps back to Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone.

Head to Settings > General > Software Update to check if iOS 26.0.0 is available to you now and start the download and installation process if so. Alternatively, if you have automatic updates switched on, it should just do it all for you, although you’ll likely have to wait longer.
