Can Apple Watch Series 6 and Fitbit Sense accurately and reliably give blood-oxygen readings?

Both the Apple Watch Series 6 and Fitbit Sense have new blood-oxygen apps, but The Washington Post’s Geoffrey Fowler says they’re mostly useless.
